Below are our working ranges for local shifting inside Gurugram — packing material, labour, vehicle, loading, transport and unloading included. These are estimates for planning. Your exact figure comes as a written itemised quotation after the survey, and that quotation is the bill.

What pushes the number up

• No service lift at one end — ₹1,500 to ₹2,500 extra in labour on a 2–3 BHK.
• Split AC work — ₹500 to ₹800 per unit for uninstall plus refit, listed separately.
• Fresh 5-ply cartons, bubble wrap, foam and stretch film versus reused boxes. For the kitchen, glassware and TV panel, the fresh grade is worth paying for.
• Peak dates — month-end, the 1st, and the March–June window.
• Storage in between — when possession of the new flat is delayed, goods go into warehouse and storage packed, not loose, and that is billed by duration.

Society formalities to clear before your moving date

Trucks do not drive straight into Gurgaon's gated societies. Five items decide whether the day starts on time:

1. Gate pass or move-out NOC. Issued by the facility office. Tenants usually also need a dues-clearance note from the landlord, which takes a day or two if anything is pending.
2. Service lift booking. Reserved in advance, often against a refundable deposit returned after inspection. Weekend slots go first in larger towers — this is why we sometimes recommend a weekday even when the family assumed Saturday.
3. Move-in / move-out charge. Between ₹1,000 and ₹5,000 in most Gurgaon condominiums. This is the society's charge, not the mover's, and it will never appear on our quotation.
4. Permitted time window. Typically 9 AM to 6 PM. Some societies do not allow shifting on Sundays at all — confirm before locking the date, not after.
5. Crew ID verification. Security will ask for crew ID proofs at the gate. We share the crew ID list with you before every move so nothing stalls there.

1. Pre-move survey. Video call or home visit. We count items, check lift access and ask which society you are in — that single answer decides the timing more than anything else.
2. Written itemised quotation. Vehicle type, crew count, material list, floor charges, appliance charges and taxes on one page, before you commit to anything.
3. Packing day. Kitchen and fragile first. Furniture comes apart with fittings bagged and labelled to the room. Cartons are numbered as they are sealed, not afterwards from memory.
4. Loading. Heavy items at the base, item count noted and signed by both sides, supervised on site.
5. Transit. Local moves finish the same day. Intercity runs are GPS-tracked with a named coordinator you can reach mid-move instead of a call centre.
6. Unloading and setup. Furniture reassembled, appliances refitted, basic unpacking done, and the packing debris carried away rather than left in your new drawing room.

Roughly one in three of our Gurgaon jobs leaves the city. Below are the routes we run most often, with realistic transit times and a working range for a full 2 BHK household load. Cars and bikes can travel on the same booking as separate line items.

Shared-load consignments cost less than a dedicated container but travel on the network's schedule; a dedicated truck costs more and moves on yours. What do packers and movers charge for a 2 BHK within Gurgaon?

₹11,000 to ₹14,000 is the honest range for a full-service local shift covering packing, loading, transport and unloading. No lift at either end, extra packing material or split AC work pushes it toward the upper side. A ₹6,000 quote for a full 2 BHK is either excluding material or planning to revise the number on loading day.

How far in advance should I book?

Seven to ten days works for most of the year. For March to June, and around month-ends and the 1st, plan 15 days ahead. Crews and vehicles genuinely run out in those windows because half the city moves at the same time.

Who arranges the society gate pass and service lift?

You do, as the resident. The gate pass or NOC comes from your RWA or facility office, and the lift slot is booked there too. We share crew ID proofs in advance and work within the permitted hours. Tell us the tower name at survey and we can usually tell you its rules.

Is transit insurance necessary for a local shift?

Within the city, at minimum get the damage-claim process in writing. For intercity moves or high-value appliances and furniture, take the cover. The premium is small against replacement cost and it means a claim follows a process instead of an argument.

Do movers work on Sundays in Gurgaon?

We do, but many societies do not permit Sunday shifting at all. Confirm your RWA's rules before locking the date. This is the single most common reason a booked move gets pushed by a week.

Can the rate change after the quotation?

Not with us. The itemised quotation issued after the survey is the final bill. It changes only if you change the scope — adding items, another AC, an extra stop. Ask any mover for this in writing before you pay a token.

How long does a 3 BHK move take inside Gurgaon?

Usually one long day if the service lift is booked and the society window is generous. Where the window is tight, we pre-pack the previous evening and load the next morning, which finishes earlier than forcing everything into one day.

How much advance payment is normal?

A 20 to 30 percent token. Full payment before loading is a walk-away signal with any moving company, however legitimate it looks. The balance is due on delivery.

What is the GST rate on packers and movers services?

Full packing-and-moving service is taxed at 18%. Transport-only or truck rental is 5%. Trust Move issues GST-compliant invoices, which most companies require for employee relocation reimbursement.

Do you handle car and bike shifting along with household goods?

Yes, and it is common on intercity moves. The vehicle travels in an enclosed carrier with condition photos at pickup and delivery, while household goods move in the container. Both are billed as separate lines on one quotation.

What if my new flat is not ready yet?

Goods go into our Gurgaon storage facility packed the same way they would travel, with 24×7 CCTV, insured storage and inventory-wise tagging, so specific items can be pulled without unpacking everything.

How long does a Gurgaon to Bangalore or Mumbai move take?

Mumbai and Pune run 4 to 6 days in transit, Bangalore and Chennai 5 to 8, Hyderabad and Kolkata 5 to 7. A shared-load consignment travels on the network's schedule and costs less; a dedicated container moves on yours and costs more. Both are GPS-tracked with a named coordinator.
